it is finally friday!!

yup, it's friday!! went to office yesterday, had a discussion with garrick on mkting. we decided to explore more on search engine mkting and today i spent quite a bit of time on understanding more how adwords work. i had always thought it is just a sponsored listing thing, nothing really wow or fantastic. but after understanding more, i realised it is a very strong tool. it bascially gives one the ability to track, monitor and manage one's mkting efforts. and the advertising is extended to content pages easily!! Cost of putting up an image or video ad depends on cpc too. impressive..

this adwords thingy will keep me occupied next wk at work.. it's been 1 week since i sent out my job application. of course, i am not expecting response so soon. last yr, i only heard from them 3-4 wks after i sent it out. i am worried abt not getting it.. please grant me an interview chance at the very least!!

oh, one new thing i did today was i watched the US vice presidential debate. i got interested in it cos i m very amused by sarah palin's perfomance in her interviews thus far. not impressive at all.. so wanna see how she is gg to be challenged in the debate. watched about an hr and 10mins.. she didn't screw up real badly i guess but her response wasn't that gd. in fact at some point, it is conflicting!! she said to drill oil in alaska but at a later qn on environment, she said alaska is one of place which the effect of gobal warming can be felt deeply. since that is so, still drill for oil in alaska!? a bit sala right??

chatted with ivy just now. she showed me the website for lls and i checked out the agenda. it is such a simplified affair this time round!! day 1 only starts at 6pm with a cocktail dinner and speeches. day 2 is the ONLY full day event. morning is talks and afternoon is matchmaking. the number of matchmaking is reduced by almost half!! and there's only one 1-on-1. last time, there was 2 execs having 1-1 and it was held for 2 days!! on the 3rd day, there is nothing at all. only departures!! so effectively, there's only 2 dinners, 1 lunch, 2 teabreaks to settle. this is nothing compared to wad i did then!! and there were so many sessions going on at 1 time in hanoi that i had to walk all over the premises and had to prepare tonnes of signages. and with everything streamlined, they had an additional staff on site! 4 of them this time round.. lucky them!

anyway, those days are over over for me.. glad for that..
