think my 2008 is divided into several periods...
Period 1: Jan to Apr 17th - Meaningless Trolley Days in WN
The first quarter of 2008 was spent in a monotonous and crappy wn environment, working under a lousy boss which belittles me and thinks that i am an internet idiot. Spent most of my time placing those stock retrieving forms, running from levels to levels collecting signatures from people just to get stocks out from the store. After stocks are out, it is packing and labeling and pushing the infamous noisy trolley while enduring mocking smiles/grins down to the shipping dept for it to be shipped out. That 4 months I was just passing a day by a day.. being very lowly...
Period 2: Apr 20th to July 7th - Working in Hell
Think I have mentioned many times about this quarter of 2008. So shall not repeat myself. Basically a few keywords: Had a bitch as a boss, always working, overwhelming pressure, crying is more frequent than eating, missing dear terribly. On the good side, my sisters were extremely supportive..times with my nieces helps to cheer me up.. i love them all..
Period 3: July 8th to Sept - Encounters with Wildlife, Geysers and Starting work at a God-Forsaken building
Traveled in USA and saw wildlife roaming, geysers erupting.. Drove down coastal highway and saw sea lions, elephant seals and WHALES! the grey humpback whales even did a flip for us in the air! wow.. the wonder of nature. And during the night drive back from las vegas, i asked dear what he thinks i am good at and what job i should be in. And it was then, i figured out maybe the iro position is really the right one for me. And so, decided to give it another try when i return to sg. I love that drive back..
In sept, i started work at G as temp arrangement. want to have more time to think about my career before jumping in. G's place is far far away in sembanwang and i get to see senoko power plants very often. and i often had to spend 20 mins looking for parking in that place. and the toilet is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!! had to restrain my water input.
dear dear had depression and is totally unmotivated about studies.. sadz..
Period 4: Oct to Dec - First Family Trip
Went to NZ with sisters, nieces and CY. it was very enjoyable.. my 2 nieces are very cute and we had lotsa laughter. But it was also very tiring when they gets naughty and refused to sleep at night! I don't think I will bring my kids for holidays next time.. ha.. oh and i did paragliding! it's cool!! Queenstown is a very nice place..and the house we stayed in is heaven!!
Applied for iro and had my first interview before i went nz. After got back to sg, went for round 2 interview and passed it. and then 3rd round with SG, and passed it as well. :) As for work at G side, we had numerous inquiries when i was in nz and i helped to secure a few deals. so i have added new clients to our base..
Last thing for 2008 was a trip to HK with dear and family. It's being 8.5 yrs since i last visited HK.. The weather is nice but the countdown fireworks was disappointing..And I realized I prefer road trips than city trips..
So i ended 2008 with:
1) a new job on hand
2) more debts due to nz and hk trips
3) a better understanding of myself,especially about work related matters..
4) growing love for dear dear.. i am fortunate to have him..
5) a stronger bond with my sisters
6) knowing that my friendship with clique is really special.. more than just regular gatherings..
All in all, a good year. i am wishing for an even better year in 2009. and good health to all my loved ones...
