ssshhhhh

it's already 2.40am and i'm still awake. was abt to go to sleep but decided to come online because something is bugging me.. making me unhappy. was thinking about the brief words i exchanged with he-who-shall-not-be-named just before 5plus. he is outstationed next week and i gave him some stuff to sign. den he asked me if i got anything to do next week.. before i could elaborate, he asked me to rem to follow up on 3 matters. he had sent out email to relevant pple on those 3 matters. those relevant pple are supposed to submit stuff to him so he asked me to follow up.

He: those 3 matters... you got to follow up on them..
Me: Okay.. has anyone got back to you yet?
He (said with a super irritating look): no.. it's your duty to follow up. you should know who has or who has not...whenever i cc you in the email, it means you got to help me follow up/chase. that's my cue to you.
Me (a bit buay song): Ok, but if they reply to you only, i wun know right? He: No no.. i always say in the email to cc you in the reply.

Why am i not happy?
1) his tone and he was asking me outside where other colleagues are around
2) out of the 3 matters, he only cc-ed me in 2 of them. the 3rd one he didn't cc me.
3) i dun think he asked them to cc me in his email.
4) he didn't even orientate me to how those 3 matters r usually done. esp when 1 of the matter concern a big event that is coming up. how the hell do i know what's the usual procedure?
5) the way he put it.. about me following up.. makes me sound as though i am his PA.

sigh.. i really don't enjoy working with him so far.. i need to figure out how to manage him. can't show him attitude all the time. it's really not to my favor. sigh...

i had a discussion with our new corporate comm mgr this wk. it was nice talking to her. before doing regional corp comm, she did marcom and many other related stuff.. she's an experienced lady and i think she is good at what she does. was sharing with her my job scope and my rough idea of how things work.. and she was trying to figure out how to fit in/fill up gaps/make things better. quite impressive.. i guess i can say she inspires confidence while the he-who-shall-not-be-named don't.

sigh.. okie..throw unhappy things aside.. and focus on happy ones. Happy things will be doing reading up for the usa trip next yr, driving, will be commencing my eco volunteer work soon, batam trip next mth, etc...
